On Thursday 28th of May, the Government announced that dental practices could open for face to face appointments from the 8th of June, so long as they had the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) and had completed both a thorough risk assessment and carried out in depth staff training in managing and reducing the risk of transmission of Covid-19. This is to ensure both staff and patients are as protected as possible. Due to the nature of the transmission of Covid-19 any procedure which produces an aerosol (sprayed water) requires us to wear a clinical gown, and FFP3 mask. The surgery is then left for 30 minutes after the appointment so there are no Covid-19 particles in the air in the surgery. This is not necessary for all dental treatment, however if it is unavoidable to complete the treatment without it, this will be explained to you and there will be an additional charge of £35.00.
As a result of these precautions, the way we see patients has significantly changed compared to how we could see you before. However, we are still the friendly, smiling team you are used to – and will do our best to make you feel at ease during your visit.
J.H. Stevens has always worked hard to provide you with a high quality service. We intend to carry this forward despite the new changes.
Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support.
With kind regards,
Lucy, Tom and the team.
